This project was special. I made a pattern out of scraps of plywood. Bored pilot holes after cutting circles and laying out for balance. Then I had approval of prototype. Next I found special scrap pieces of walnut with high quality grain details. Gluing up these pieces to show off special grain. Drilling pilot holes and 1/4” dowels assembled. Two coats of oil and three coats of varnish. Again approved by new owner.

Nice cake stand! Very good detail and the final product is amazing. The grain of the wood and gloss really makes it stand out!
